Toppers are shipped compressed in a box. For best results, allow the topper to fully expand before sleeping on it. This process may take up to 48 hours.
Lucid toppers – especially foam models – tend to emit a fair amount of off-gassing odor. According to Lucid, normal smells may last for up to four days. Owners may want to air out their topper in a well-ventilated room before using it.
The cleaning and care process for Lucid toppers is as follows:
Most Lucid toppers do not come with a cover. These models should only be spot-cleaned using mild detergent and a moist cloth. Lucid suggests using a mattress protector to prevent permanent stains.
Select Lucid toppers come with a cover, but the cover may not be removable or washable. Owners should follow cleaning directions listed on the product tag.

This sleep trial does not require a break-in period of any kind. Customers may return their topper at any point of the trial and receive a full refund.
